Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you service?

We service all areas of Brisbane, Ipswich and the Gold Coast.

Do you have a Working with Children Check (Blue Card)?

Yes, I carry a current Blue Card.

Do you use skin safe paint?

We use skin safe quality, professional products from professional brands such as TAG, Global, Cameleon, Pro Aiir, Wolfe and cosmetic face and body glitter. We do not use craft paints or craft glitters.

What are your payment options?

We accept payment by cash or direct deposit.

Do you bring everything you need with you?

Yes, we bring all our own equipment including a chair. We do require however, shelter and lighting if indoors.  If we are doing Airbrush work we need a power source for our equipment.  Underneath a tree is not suitable shelter at any time.  Falling debris can contaminate our equipment and is a risk hazard.

Are there any restrictions with your services offered? Eg. age limits. allergies, illness.

Our insurance requires us to follow certain guidelines.  We are not insured to paint anyone under the age of 2 years. We will not paint a person who cannot tell us what they want to be painted or if they are upset or frightened. We will not paint anyone who is obviously unwell, showing signs of a fever, sore eyes, rashes, open sores or wounds. We love to see little ones painted and to see the joy it brings, but we are unable to paint them if they are crying or cannot sit still or follow instructions.

What type of designs do you offer? Do you bring a book or board?

We offer 3 to 5 minute designs to suit the theme of your party or event. We sometimes show a card with designs if the person is unsure what they want, but each design is tailored to the guests imagination. Corporate events sometimes require a word list or board. We are more than happy to supply these for your event.

Please remember with multiple artist bookings we are all individuals and no designs will be exactly the same.

What happens if the weather changes?

Please have a back up plan in case of rain or extreme heat. We will not paint outdoors in rainy, windy, cold or extreme heat conditions.  If temperatures are extreme our face painters will need to be moved indoors into a controlled climate. Otherwise we can offer Glitter Tattoos or Airbrush Tattoos as a great sweat and waterproof alternative.

Do you provide Supervision?

No, you are still required to supervise your own children whilst  your artist Face Painting.

Is it easy to remove Face Paint?

All of our face paints are water-based, making them as easy to take off as they are a joy to put on!  Simply remove with a cloth, soap and warm water.  There is no need for scrubbing or harsh removers.    Some colours are inclined to stain more than others.  The best way to remove the colour is to emulsify the face paint with soap before wiping.

Glitter tattoos and Airbrush tattoos are great fun and last for ages.  But sometimes you need to remove them early.  Glitter and Airbrush tattoos can easily be removed with rubbing alcohol.  Alternatively apply baby oil or lotion on the skin and spread it on the area. Massage around the area for about 1-3 minutes and wipe off.

I have allergies, can I still get my Face Painted?

If you think you or the person that is to be painted has sensitive skin please or has allergies please ask for a patch test. (I apply a small amount of paint to the inside of the elbow and if after 30 mins there is no reaction then I will be happy to paint them).

Adhesive Bling and Glitter tattoos use a prosthetic adhesive glue.  If you are allergic to band-aids or anything with an adhesive we do not recommend these services.

How much notice do you need for a booking?

The earlier you book the more likely I am to be available for your special event.  To avoid disappointments and guarantee, I require a booking fee deposit.

Do I need to provide parking? (Corporate Clients)

Due to the size and weight of our kits, chairs, tables, etc… yes, it may be necessary to provide a parking space. Please check with your artist.

Inner city locations will incur a parking surcharge if parking is not provided.

Do you teach Face Painting?

I do run workshops for those in the industry to showcase my techniques at professional events. Unfortunately, I don’t run classes for the general public at this stage.

Tammy did an excellent job of my sugar skull face for a ‘Dia De Los Muertos’ party! Everyone loved it and I’ll call again for my next party.

-Nadia

My little boy absolutely loved his Spiderman design and can’t stop talking about it. Thank-you for making his birthday special.

-Tahnee

Tammy has painted both me and my children and is a friendly, knowledgeable & funny lady. She explained the products, when I mentioned sensitive skin and is wonderful with my challenge child. I recommend her to everyone.
